Football Podcasts
PA SportEV’s audio football shows feature all of the latest English Premiership and Pan-European Leagues, with dynamic up-to-the-minute content including chat, debate and comment on all things football. The site can also be rights neutral for delivery via the site and outlets such as iTunes.
All content will be client branded with references to the client’s website where relevant. There are three packages available:
- Weekly Premiership Preview
- Weekly Premiership Review
- Weekly Pan-European Preview/Review
Weekly Premiership Preview
The Weekly Premiership Preview will be a preview of the next weekend’s games delivered on Thursday evening (no later than 6pm UK time) previewing the weekend’s Premiership matches. The preview show will feature breaking news, newspaper reviews, emails etc. There will be a total of 52 shows throughout the year covering pre-season and post season transfer news and friendlies and every week of the English Premier League season.
A typical show will have a running order based upon:
- Breaking Premiership news (injuries, transfer news, talking points etc.)
- Preview of each Premiership match with comment / audio clips
- A look at the morning newspapers and sports press
- Comment and discussion of emails received
Weekly Premiership Review
The Weekly Premiership Review will be produced on Monday mornings and delivered no later than 1pm UK time. This 30-minute show will, during the season, review all matches played in the Premiership over the previous weekend. There would be a total of 52 shows throughout the year as above (see Weekly Premiership Preview).
A typical show will have a running order based upon:
- Breaking Premiership news (injuries, transfer news, talking points etc.)
- Review of each Premiership match with comment / audio clips
- A look at the morning papers and sports press
- Comment and discussion of emails received
- A quick preview of midweek / next weekend’s games
Weekly Pan-European Review (optional extra)
The Pan-European Football Previews and Reviews will have the same content and structure as the Premiership shows. However as well as other European Leagues there will be Champions League and internationals covered. This would run as one 30-minute show for 52 weeks.
Typical coverage will include:
- European League focus covering at least one league per week with comment and audio clips. This section will focus mainly on French, German, Italian and Spanish leagues on a rotational basis
- Champions League focus during Champions League weeks
- General round up of other leagues with important news and results
- International football
Content
All on-air comment will be provided by PA Sport journalists, in the studio or from the grounds. Included will be illustrative audio clips from players and managers provided by PA Multimedia who have access to press conferences and the training pitch.
The majority of match comment will be delivered by on-site PA Sport journalists. PA Sport have a reporter covering every one of the 380 Premier League matches. PA SportEV will have access via phone to these reporters for comment and review, both before the matches to preview and after the matches to review. The in-house team can then provide higher level comment looking at the overall position of the league and how teams are faring rather than comment on the action in individual games.
We have access to video clips of press conferences and interviews and will provide five to 10 clips of useable audio content from this source per week.
