Mobile Video - Overview
PA SportEV is at the forefront of mobile sports production and the preferred partner of top sports rights holders and mobile phone operators.
For example, we are currently the official mobile production partner for the English Premiership international market and provides near-live goal clips and match highlights to over 30 licensed operating companies across the world.
In 2006 we also produced mobile tennis content for the French Open at Roland Garros as well as the U.S Open from Flushing Meadows, New York. This involved the editing and encoding of match highlights and daily round ups as well a fully functioning wap site with live data services.
We have spent 3 years developing and distributing UEFA Champions League content across Europe and has also produced content for international cricket, including the 2005 ICC Super Series and Pakistan’s tour of England in 2006, amongst other sports.
Our mobile production portfolio has also included non-sports content. We have produced mobile-ready music videos as well as men’s lifestyle content.
Our mobile production services include:
- Downlinking of satellite feeds and/or acquisition of feeds via our 6 fibre optic lines direct to BT Tower
- Bespoke video editing techniques to maximise the content for the benefit of 3G
- Encoding video to a variety of 2G/3G-compatible formats
- Automated delivery of video and accompanying xml
- MMS content and delivery
- Creation of wallpapers and delivery
- Design and development of WAP sites including the integration of live data
